Zion Canyon – North Rim
Once again we were awed by the wonders God has created. Zion Canyon provided many more amazing sights, very different from Bryce Canyon. A major difference to begin with was that we entered Zion Canyon from the bottom and looked up. Rock formations again varied significantly. At one point of our tour we saw the “Weeping Rock”, Rock that allows water to seep through it so that it slowly drips out from the bottom of overhanging rocks. The drive to Zion was also very interesting with a tunnel more than one mile long and many switchbacks.

After Zion we did some last minute shopping and preparation for our hike. Then we drove to the North Rim to see where we would be hiking from and to see some sights along the rim. The bottom of the canyon appeared to be a looooong way down. Tomorrow we need to begin.

This should have been posted Sept 13 but there was no internet connection.
