Bryce Canyon
The scenery in Utah includes many beautiful rock formations.

After a brief three-hour drive we enjoyed Red Canyon, a short stop on our way to Bryce Canyon. The colour and formations in Red Canyon were beautiful. Twice the road went through a rock arch.

A 2.2 mile hike in Bryce Canyon was a wonderful change from two days of driving. What an amazing canyon. “Wow” was all we could say many times throughout our hike as we enjoyed one amazing view after another. The pictures cannot fully capture the amazing views. Several people commented that the canyon looked like it contained many cathedrals.

What can you say about how we have changed after a few days in close quarters?

Actually, on our shuttle bus ride we were told that after some trees are in a controlled fire to clean out the underbrush, they develop a sweet aroma, but you need to smell closely. We have not changed into fanatic tree-huggers.
